Simon Says Stamp Kid Challenge

I have a special guest artist today.  She’s very special 9 year old, someone who has stolen a good sized chunk of my heart.  And that I can share a hobby with her?  All the better!  When I told her she could have at it with glitter (for the challenge) in my craft space, well, she was a pretty happy girl.  Unfortunately, I’d gotten rid of most of my glitter because I hate how messy it is.  She managed to do a fine job though.

Love Never Fails–Add Shimmer

Most of us like shimmer.  Sometimes glitter is too messy for me, but I find that using some shimmer is a fantastic option because it still allows me to have some shine but saves me the mess.  Yay!

Today, I’m playing along with Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge – Add Some Shimmer.  I made this card this week, but felt like it was missing something.  Duh….a bit of shimmer!  I wanted to keep it controlled and subtle, so I used my Wink of Stella clear brush and just whacked it on my hand a few times to get some droplets.  Nice.

Thanks Card–With Patterned Paper

Good afternoon!  Today I’m playing along with Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge – Use Patterned Paper.  I’ve been trying to reduce my stash of items that I’ve been hoarding and not using.  Patterned paper is one of those categories.  I’ve purged a lot, things I don’t like, know I won’t use, or the remnants of packs that I used my favorites out of already.  I cut my stash by about 1/3, but I still have a lot I intend to use.  This challenge is a perfect opportunity.

I Will Praise Him

I always enjoy a good Scripture or faith centered stamp sentiment.  Papertrey Ink has been releasing some great ones this year.  I also recently bought this very elegant stamp set from Lil Inkers.  I had been intimidated to use it, although I knew the look I wanted.

I finally used the florals, paired with the Papertrey Praise Inspired set, and feel like I pulled off an elegant card.  I have a friend who is definitely experiencing a “storm” in life, so I’ve been trying to send some cards occasionally to send a hug by mail.
